Ramadan Ramo Šarkić was a prominent member of the National Liberation Movement in Montenegro during World War II. As an “underground operative”, he maintained connections between the partisan units in Podgorica, Shkodra and Tuzi, helping his people in the struggle against the occupiers.

Tragically, he was executed on June 10, 1942, on the banks of the Cijevna River, near the Rakić House.

His courage and sacrifice have been eternally remembered: Tuzi was liberated on December 15, 1944, and in 1946, his comrades founded a society named after him to honor his memory and ensure his deeds are never forgotten.

The society continues to preserve his legacy today, reminding future generations of the true cost of freedom and the importance of loyalty to their country.
